MY MOBILEPRO

Custom Paint Jobs

It is not only fun to refurbish your Mobilepro, but it also adds value to your investment as well.

Daniele Alvaro did more than just buy a can of spray paint and bomb this Mobilepro....check out THIS PDF file with complete instructions and information. Also take a look at some great pictures of the finished product!

Notice the detail spent when painting the NEC logo on the top.  The rectangular area wasn't just masked out,  but actually painted around the letters to match.  Nice detail!

This is a 790 that was painted gold and black. Nothing special except that a special plastic bonding paint was used to ensure that the colors didn't rub off. Note that the pcmcia eject button was painted, that the gray standard rubber feet were replaced with clear rubber feet, that the labels were replaced on the bottom, and that the logo on the top of the lid was filled in to make the entire lid top smooth before painting. Also the keyboard was removed from the lower case so the frame could be painted gloss black as well.

This one is a simple blue painted 790. Again the lid holes were filled with automotive body filler and sanded and painted.
