NEC is not an acronym and does not stand for any other names. The company was originally incorporated as the Nippon Electric Company, but this name was officially changed to NEC Corporation in 1983.
The Mobilepro 900C was the last Mobilepro to be produced...there are no others. It was a disappointing day for many of us Mobilepro fans when we received this letter in the mail:
